Time Wounds All Heals ...
When I was 20 my friends and I had a dvd. A movie that all 3 of us LOVED - "Someone like you". This was a prominent quotation from that movie and it is said to a friend who is crying because the one guy she thought was perfect for her had left her in a lurch. You see in movies its simple, at the most difficult time of your life, when you feel that the world has trampled on you, nothing else can happen but for things to start looking up. Of course in this movie the girl realises that her scum bag womanising friend who is none other than Hugh Jackman ... turns out to be the love of her life. Typical??? Stereotype?? Cliché ... Yeah TOTALLY but which gal does not love a cliché fairy tale that tells you that love is always lurking in the corners and will pounce on you when you least expect it. Well at least I do ... I watched that movie so many times and evaluated all my scum bag womanising best friends at that point. Of course none of them looked anything close to Hugh.
But this morning i woke up thinking, Does Time really Heal all wounds? I googled it of course and found this"It has been said, ‘Time heals all wounds.’ I do not agree. The wounds remain. In time, the mind, protecting its sanity, covers them with scar tissue and the pain lessens. But it is never gone.”—Rose Kennedy It got me thinking, How true this is. We first apply the antiseptic of work ... activity and random thoughts to escape the pain, eventually we ignore it so much that it seems to be lost. We however carry the scar where ever we go. And on days when we cannot find anything to think about it returns with vengeance. Sometimes we cannot even understand why it hurts the wound is so deep that the pain is so deep that we cannot even localize the pain to a specific would.
Of course the solution to all this is to acknowledge the pain and send it love to start the healing. So much more easier said than done. A friends solution was to drink water and sleep. Yes please numb the pain further. I normally would just go for a haircut or buy some clothes or meet a friend. None of these seems to work any more.
I cant help but think... when will it all end.. if theres another life cant we get started soon ....
No I do not have a positive ending to this blog ... Im just going to drink water and sleep. Looks like numbing is the only option available at this point.
