Defining the Undefined - Part 3
So he was human after all ...
We soon became very good friends and more often than not he started nagging me, What i wore was not right, I did not chant my vedas often enough... I was not being serious and yet when he said it it made sense, in fact now mum uses him to get me to do things she wants. The most annoying thing in the WORLD - He genuinely is on her side. And when he is, he has this "listen to me its for ur own good" look in his eyes...
Soon the wife and baby arrived and it was perfect :) She made the worlds best coffee - YES the world ... and the baby was indeed a gift given so compassionately. It was like i got a buy one free 2 deal :)
I must admit adjusting was a wheee bit of a problem, mindsets and cultural difference mostly but beyond that things were perfect. I never knew that he cared so much, i never knew anyone could for no personal gain. I never knew how to reciprocate in the confinements of culture. It was like we were all on a trapeze with the single end in mind yet each step mattered as we thread gingerly through this relationship :)
Five years passed, i knew eventually he would have to return but it never crossed my mind ever. He still was the place id go when I was sooo numb that nothing else mattered. Id instantly feel good after that. If i needed to feel Swami really quickly he was also the option. When i needed to feel protected , when i needed to feel like a "good" gal this was where i ended up. Of course of appams sessions and movie sessions had reduced in quantities coz of new responsibilities and I must admit at a certain point i felt we had drifted apart.
One day out of the bluess, he told me the time had come for them to return, I never ever took it seriously till that day... i thought he would always be around, I shamefully admit now that i took him for granted. ut when he did say it in that serious manner, my heart dropped, but i was reassured by the fact that they would not leave so soon so i had time still. IT was only the day that they were packing that it dawned upon me that he was leaving for good, and that familliar feeling ... the same one i had when Joshua and Jeremiah were leaving for Canada, happened again . I looked at him and S and said Y must u all go? ... and he said " What nonsense" .. I thought okie " grow up Roshini you are over reacting"
The next day .... He went home ...
