Meet your Match - Part 1 : Introduction of the theory
I've decided if i am going to go thru this i am going to record every amusing moment of it, if not only to look back and laugh about it one day. I know that even thinking about these experiences now, although we are but at part 2 brings me hillarious fits of laughter =) im sure my highly entertained friends will agree.
So lets start from the very begining... its a very good place to start...
I'm turning 29 this year, to the horror of all 5 of my mothers ( 1 biological and 4 of her sisters) i had not met my "match". Am i worried about it, nop not yet ... okie maybe an itsy bitsy bit, since we are being honest and all, but my mummies... hmm.. thts another story.
Ok.. having said that their worry is totally understandable, i think its a maternal instict and hence i wont judge it. So .. amma one day with loads of fear in her voice, asks me, if it would be okie to get me started on the ceylonese dating circuit from hell... onli in my case it wont be all ceylonese seeing that i am myself not blueblooded.
Anyway i give her the much awaited greelight as i have no other option, i mean if mr "11" was not showing me an inkling of attention i guess it was time a gave up. So i said "fine" as u wish.
Let me explain the theory of modern day match making
Step 1 : Your mum or dad gets you date of birth and time of birth
Step 2 : They call match maker with your details.
Step 3 : Matchmaker goes thru her/his database and looks for a match based on you astrological charts
Step 4 : if a match is found Your parents are informed.
Step 5 : Your number is given to the prospective "boy"
Step 6: He calls, you try and figure out if he is a serial killer from his voice =)
Step 7: If he sound sane , u decide to meet at a public place, kinda like a blind date.
Step 8 : You hang out
Step 9: after the date if either party is interested , they keep contact with each other, or you also apparently as ive found out have the right to totally disregard the other person and let their calls and messeges slip into oblivion ( watch out for Part 3 )
Step 10 : parents keep hogging you with questions of did he call ??
Step 11: If all izz well u proceed to date then marry
Step 12: if it is not a match ---> return to step 1
The search had begun ... the first candite she called me about was apparently an entreprenuer... "interesting i thought" like most of my new found friends from Fs's circle... when i asked her wht kind of business does he do, she stated a few... gold, trading... 4D...
Oooh .. that is sooo uncool. I told her can u imagine, the collective karma of everyone who buys the 4D rests on this guys shoulders.. NO way ! gambling is Adharmic i said...
She went on tho say how its okie .. lalalalala .. i had stoped listening...
So i pretended to listen and that was that.
