Flying on Auto Pilot Mode
How time passes from one week to another, now days i hardly notice the time at all. Things have been falling into a rhythm and routine that nothing that comes along the way seems to surprise me at all.
Was having a discussion with a group of friends while we were going down to JB last weekend. Of course the most hyped up topic to be discussed by us 20 somethings unfortunately seemed to be carriers and weddings. Who is getting married? Who just changed jobs? Was having a career even worth the effort we put in into it. An older unmarried friend of our was relating the agony of her mother that has visited almost every temple know and made vows almost at all places for the to soon tie the knot as she is getting older. We jokingly told her, to fulfill your mother vows We don't think you would even have time to be with your husband as u would be on a constant pilgrimage.
So what is this hype all about and why does it bother us so much . What is truly the importance in finding your significant other half. There must be more to life that the eating, meeting, breeding and dying process. What is in a marriage that it becomes of utmost importance to everyone. Don't get me wrong... I am so not against the Idea of marriage, in fact it is my ambition to get married and be a mum ( weird ... yeah cant accept it my self even).
However our discussion led to one conclusion. That is its something not worth worrying about. When u are flying auto Pilot and the person who is really flying the plane is not you then you really do not have to worry. All u have to do is relax and enjoy the ride. The only problem is that we armature pilot do not have the confidence and faith to let go of the control and let HIM do the job. We keep hankering, to take control, thinking no one can fly the plane better than us, leading inevitably to the crash. But like the Phoenix we rise from our ashes and are given a chance to try to let go again. He is after all very patient and he will constantly be there watching u rise and fall.
All we have to do is learn to let go and be free... which have I mentioned is not easy at all...
